Career Highlights:
"Austria-born Sonja Martin's brief yet noteworthy acting stint was predominantly marked by roles that demanded full nudity, a fact met with no complaints from enthusiasts. Initially pursuing medicine, Martin's attention shifted when a Penthouse photographer chanced upon her, subsequently leading to appearances in both Larry Flynt's adult magazine and the more upscale Playboy. Her acting debut came in 1982 with the Israeli comedy 'Sapihesor' or 'Private Popsicle'. However, it was a year later, on the beach in 'Lemon Popsicle IV', that Martin first bared all on the big screen. She then played a lead role in 'Emmanuelle IV' (1984), fleeing to Brazil post a breakup, much to the delight of series aficionados.
In 1985, Martin starred alongside Linda Blair in the women's prison exploitation film, 'Red Heat', famously featuring a racy group shower scene. Yet, her most notable performance was in 'La chica que cayo del cielo' (1986), also known as 'Melody of Passion'. Here, she portrayed a woman who inherits a Spanish castle turned luxury brothel, engaging sexually with its occupants.
Martin's final film appearance was in 'Young Love: Lemon Popsicle 7' (1987) before retiring from acting in 1988. Given the extensive on-screen exposure within her short career, few could fault Martin for calling it quits. Upon witnessing Sonja Martin, one might find their ardor ignited."
