Shannon Lee Tweed was born on March 10, 1957, in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. Growing up on a mink ranch in Markland, she rose to international fame in the early 1980s after being named Playboy's Playmate of the Year in 1982. This success launched her extensive career in Hollywood, where she became the reigning queen of the erotic thriller genre, starring in dozens of films such as Night Eyes and Indecent Behavior.
Beyond her film career, she appeared in popular television series like Falcon Crest and Frasier. In later years, she transitioned into reality TV stardom alongside her long-time partner, KISS bassist Gene Simmons, in the hit series Gene Simmons Family Jewels. After nearly three decades together, the couple officially married in 2011. Today, she is recognized not only as a cult cinema icon but also as a dedicated mother to her two children, Nick and Sophie.
