Barbara Edwards was born on June 26, 1960 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended the University of Southern California and became a member of the Sigma Chi Sorority. Edwards gained significant recognition as the Playmate of the Month for September 1983 issue of 'Playboy' and was later named Playmate of the Year in 1984. Throughout her career, she appeared in various Playboy videos and publications. Apart from her modeling career, Edwards had a brief acting stint in the 1980s. She made guest appearances on shows like Matt Houston (1982) and had notable roles in low-budget films such as Malibu Express (1985), Terminal Entry (1987), and Another Chance (1989).
