Dan Gallagher, a happily married New York lawyer with a young daughter, engages in a steamy weekend affair with Alex, his colleague and former flame from their college days. After they spend Saturday night together at her apartment, Dan returns home to his wife Beth and daughter Ellen on Sunday morning.
