Full Biography

"Virginia Wetherell, known for her piercing blue eyes and captivating figure, became synonymous with sinister sensuality in late 1960s and '70s horror films. She immersed herself in chilling roles like the leading lady in 'The Curse of the Crimson Altar' (1968), 'Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde' (1971), 'Disciple of Death' (1972'), 'Dracula' (1973), and 'Demons of the Mind' (1972). In the latter, she shared an intimate scene with Yvonne Mitchell, revealing her bare breasts, bush, and buttocks. Alas, the brief moment left viewers craving more. Prior to her reign as a scream queen at Hammer Films, Wetherell made her mark in Edgar Wallace mysteries like 'Ricochet' (1963) and 'The Partner' (1963), and even had a cameo alongside Michael Caine in 'Alfie' (1966). However, it was her unmissable role as the untouchable beauty in 'A Clockwork Orange' (1971) that truly etched her into cinematic history. Clad only in white panties, she tested Malcolm McDowell's character with electrifying results, leaving audiences spellbound. Post-horror, Wetherell continued to grace screens in films like 'Man of Violence' and 'Cleanflix', and television shows such as 'Doctor Who' and 'Crossroads'. In 1998, she made a bewitching comeback in Hammer's 'Love is the Devil', proving that her natural allure remains undiminished."
