Full Biography

Ruri Shinato, born in Hokkaido as the youngest of three siblings, moved to Hakusan, Ishikawa where she was raised. After graduating from Sophia University's Faculty of Letters with a major in German literature, she won MISS FLASH in 2013 alongside Ikeda Yuko and Nagai Rina. Shinato was active as a gravure idol until 2016 when she shifted her focus to acting. She left Legend Talent Agency in 2018 and joined G-STAR.PRO Co., Ltd. Her breakthrough role came in 'Hanzawa Naoki' where her performance attracted attention on social media. Tragically, Shinato passed away at the age of 31 due to a chronic illness on August 28, 2020.
