Rowena King starred as the lead character, Antoinette Cosway, in the 1993 film adaptation of Jean Rhys' 'Wide Sargasso Sea'. The story is set in 1840s Jamaica and follows Antoinette's marriage to an Englishman, which is disrupted by a secret from her past involving her mother. King portrayed the complex character navigating love, deception, and personal turmoil.
