Vollständige Biografie
Pauline Lynch is a Scottish actress and author who rose to international prominence with her professional debut as Lizzy in Danny Boyle's iconic film Trainspotting (1996). She was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, where she lived until the age of 19. Her birth name is Pauline Lynch, though she is also widely recognized by her literary pen name, P.K. Lynch.
Lynch's early career was defined by her performance in Trainspotting as the girlfriend of Tommy (played by Kevin McKidd), a role she later reprised in the 2017 sequel T2 Trainspotting. After years of working internationally across stage, film, television, and radio—including appearances in the miniseries Attila (2001) and the film Beautiful Creatures (2000)—she shifted her focus toward writing.
She returned to her roots in Scotland and earned a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow, where she won the prestigious Sceptre Prize for Fiction. As an author, she has published acclaimed novels such as Armadillos (2016) and Wildest of All (2017). Lynch continues to balance her creative pursuits, recently appearing in projects like the Sky/Peacock series Lockerbie: A Search for Truth (2025) while remaining active in the Scottish theatre scene. She is the sister of actress Susan Lynch and actor John Lynch.
