She made her feature film debut in 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors' (1987), and has since appeared in notable films like 'True Romance' (1993), 'Ed Wood' (1994), 'Lost Highway' (1997), and 'Boyhood' (2014), for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. On television, she played the lead role of Allison DuBois in 'Medium' (2005-2011), winning a Primetime Emmy Award for her performance. She also starred in 'CSI: Cyber' (2015-16) and 'Escape at Dannemora' (2018).
