Full Biography
Paoli Dam was born on October 4, 1980, in Kolkata, India. She initially pursued a postgraduate degree in chemistry from Rajabazar Science College but later ventured into acting. Her debut Bengali film, Teen Yaari Katha, was released in 2012 after a delay of eight years. Dam appeared in several Bengali films between 2006 and 2009, gaining prominence with Kaalbela (2009). She received international recognition for her role in Chatrak (2011), which was screened at various film festivals including Cannes, Toronto, and the UK. In 2012, Dam made her Bollywood debut with Hate Story and appeared in Ankur Arora Murder Case. She won the Viewers' Choice Award for Best Actress for her performance in Natoker Moto at the Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival in 2016.
