Marpessa Dawn, born on January 3, 1934, was an American-born French actress, singer, and dancer of African-American and Filipino heritage. She is best-known for her role as 'Eurydice' in the film 'Black Orpheus'. Dawn passed away on August 25, 2008, at age 74 from a heart attack.
