Laura Betti (born Laura Trombetti on May 1, 1927, in Casalecchio di Reno near Bologna) was an Italian actress known for her eccentric roles in films by Federico Fellini, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and Bernardo Bertolucci. She began as a jazz singer before debuting in La Dolce Vita (1960). Betti's notable performances include Regina in Bertolucci's 1900 and the Wife of Bath in Pasolini's I racconti di Canterbury (1972). She was also friends with Pasolini, making a documentary about him in 2001.
