Full Biography
Léonie Simaga, born in 1978 in Marseille, France, is an actor and theater director. She comes from a biracial background; her mother is Breton and her father is Malian. After obtaining her baccalaureate at the House of Education of the Legion of Honor, she studied at prestigious French schools, earning degrees from the Institute of Political Studies of Paris and the National Higher Conservatory of Dramatic Art. She was a member of the Comédie-Française from 2010 to 2015, notable roles include Esther by Racine, Papa must eat by Marie NDiaye, Le Cid by Corneille, and Goldoni's Il campiello. Simaga also directed productions for the Comédie-Française, including Pour un oui ou pour un non by Nathalie Sarraute and Othello by William Shakespeare.
