Full Biography
Kristin Bauer van Straten, born in Wisconsin, USA, grew up engaged in various outdoor activities like playing sports and horse riding with her father who was an avid horseman and gun collector. Her mother was involved in charitable work. After studying fine arts in St. Louis, Boston, and New York, she moved to Los Angeles in 1994 to pursue acting. Apart from acting, Bauer continues to study drawing and painting, taking up commissioned portraits between shoots. She is known for her role in 'Dancing at the Blue Iguana' (2000). Bauer currently resides in L.A. with her rescued animals and husband Abri Van Straten, a South African musician. She is also actively involved in environmental conservation efforts.
