She began her career as a child model but shifted her focus to acting, making her film debut in 'That Night' (1992). Her notable roles include Dr. Izzie Stevens in 'Grey's Anatomy' (2005-2010), for which she won an Emmy Award in 2007, and Isabel Evans in 'Roswell' (1999-2002).
