"At the commencement of her secondary education, Kang Hye-jeong's striking beauty launched her into a prosperous modeling career. This foray into modeling paved the way for television roles throughout the late '90s, with appearances in films like Jump (1999) and Nonstop 3 (2003). Following her role in the indie-sci-fi film Nabi (2001), Kang received a Best Actress accolade at the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival. However, it was the globally recognized Oldboy (2003) that brought her to the notice of Mr. Skin's appreciative audience. This gripping thriller revolves around a man abducted and imprisoned for fifteen years in a hotel room, only to be released with an ultimatum: find his kidnapper within five days or face further torment.
