She is the daughter of actors Gérard and Élisabeth Depardieu, and sister to the late Guillaume Depardieu. Julie has two sons with her partner, musician Philippe Katerine. She won three César Awards: Best Supporting Actress twice (2004's 'La petite Lili', 2008's 'Un secret') and Best Young Actress (2004). In 2008, she directed 'Les contes d'Hoffmann' at Vaux-le-Vicomte castle. Her film 'Love me (2000)' explores the mind of its main character through realistic scenes mixed with dream sequences and hallucinations.
