Full Biography
Joan Chong Chen, born April 26, 1961, is a Chinese-American actress who rose to fame in China for her role in 'Little Flower' (1979). She gained international recognition with her performance in Bernardo Bertolucci's 'The Last Emperor' (1987), which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. Chen is also known for her roles in 'Twin Peaks', 'Saving Face', and 'Xiu Xiu: The Sent Down Girl', which she directed.
