Jessica Franz is an actress, voiceover artist, and an award-winning filmmaker from Germany. She made her Hollywood debut by appearing in the David Fincher film, "The Social Network," starring Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Timberlake. In Germany, she took a leading role on a major television network, starring as "Jennifer Miller" in the movie "Rosamunde Pilcher." She is also noted for her work at German TV giant Constantin Entertainment and Buetow Mainusch Productions. In 2009, she founded the production company Triple Threat Pictures, which has produced the comedy web series "Holly Would Show" and the award-winning short film "A Child" - both of which she wrote, directed, and produced. The company's first spec-commercial just won an award at the MoFilm competition, overseen by chairman Jon Landau. Triple Threat Pictures is developing the television series "Wild Kat" and two feature films. Starting out with ballet lessons when she was six, Jessica went on to win multiple awards in ballroom dancing by the time she was fourteen. The same year, her father bought a VHS camera, which enabled Jessica to produce her first short films. Jessica went on to enroll in her high school theater program, where she made her stage debut in "The Crucible," then tackled the challenging role of "Mrs. Antrobus" in Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, "The Skin of our Teeth." After graduation, she studied under a private acting coach and a month later had her first guest appearance on a German soap opera. Jessica joined the cast of "Football Rules Ok," a German comedy. It became an instant classic, winning multiple honors the following year at the prestigious Bavarian Film Awards in 2000. By the time Jessica graduated from the International Academy of Performing Arts Stuttgart in 2002, she already had a number of performances under her belt. She appeared in numerous national television shows and films such as "Vaya Con Dios" and "Meet Your Star." In 2002, she took on a role in the sitcom "Schulmaedchen," for which she received much recognition. In that same year, Jessica began writing and she won the national writing competition SAT.1 Talent Class with her comedic short film script "Dieb is' gut." Her directorial film debut, the suspenseful short "Blind Sushi," was funded by the network Bayerischer Rundfunk and got picked up by the national TV station Pier111. Jessica spent three years in Munich where she worked at the German TV giant Constantin Entertainment as a casting assistant and project manager (2006 - 2007), as well as a production assistant for Buetow Mainusch Productions. She was cast in the comedy "Blindflug," which was showcased at the Berlin Film Festival in 2007. Later that year, Jessica landed her first leading role on a major television network, starring as "Jennifer Miller" in the popular television movie "Rosamunde Pilcher." In 2009, Jessica moved to Los Angeles and took classes at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio. Since then, Jessica made her Hollywood debut by appearing in the David Fincher film, "The Social Network," starring Jesse Eisenberg and JustinTimberlake, took on a small role on the television series "Castle" and went on to star in the feature film "Grey Sheep," which premiered at the Max Ophuls Festival, Saarbrucken. In 2011 Jessica was cast to play the empress of Austria, Sisi, in a 3D documentary and the project was filmed at historical locations in Vienna. Jessica founded Triple Threat Pictures in 2009, which has produced the comedy web series "Holly Would Show" and the award-winning short film "A Child" - both of which she wrote, directed, and produced. The production company has since produced numerous award-winning commercials, music videos and completed their first longer film "Chew." Current projects in development include two feature films and a comedy TV show.
