Jessica Frances Dukes is a versatile American actress and producer who has built a distinguished career spanning theater, television, and film. Born on December 23, 1980, in Riverdale, Maryland, she honed her craft early on, eventually earning her Master of Fine Arts from the Catholic University of America.
Dukes first established herself as a powerhouse in the New York theater scene. Her stage work earned her critical acclaim, including a prestigious Obie Award for her performance in Bootycandy and an Audelco Award for her lead role in By the Way, Meet Vera Stark. In 2021, she made her Broadway debut in the revival of Trouble in Mind, further cementing her reputation as a formidable talent.
Her transition to television brought her widespread recognition, most notably for her portrayal of Special Agent Maya Miller in the hit Netflix series Ozark. Her performance as the persistent forensic accountant earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination as part of the show's ensemble.
