Françoise Denise Aline Blanchard (1954-2013) was a French actress and dubbing artist, born before choosing acting as her career path after working as a hand model. Throughout the 1970s, she acted in films directed by Michel Gérard, Jacques Peroni, Bruno Mattei, Richard Balducci, among others. Blanchard gained recognition for her role as Catherine Valmont in Jean Rollin's 'La morte vivante' (1982), a horror film about a resurrected woman who needs human blood to survive. Her performance was praised, particularly the intense final scene. She went on to appear in three more of Rollin’s films: 'Les trottoirs de Bangkok' (1984), 'À la poursuite de Barbara' (1991), and 'La nuit des horloges' (2007).
