Full Biography

Emily Bergl was born to an Irish mother and English architect father in Milton Keynes, England. Raised primarily in Chicago after moving there as a child, she attended Glenbrook South High School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Grinnell College with a B.A. in English and Theater. Bergl's first major role was Rachel Lang in 'The Rage: Carrie 2' (1999). She has since appeared in various TV shows like 'Gilmore Girls', 'Medium', and 'Law & Order'. Notable film roles include 'Chasing Sleep' opposite Jeff Daniels, and she had a significant part in Steven Spielberg's miniseries 'Taken'. On stage, Bergl performed in 'Becky Shaw' at Second Stage Theatre, New York, and her cabaret show 'Kidding on the Square'. She played Paul Young's new wife Beth in 'Desperate Housewives'' seventh season.
