Elsa Houben, born in Belgium, rose to prominence as an actress after starring in the 2021 French drama 'Le coeur noir des forêts'. In this film, she plays Nikolaï, a sixteen-year-old boy who has been in foster care since birth and decides to create his own home rather than being adopted. He meets Camille, played by Houben herself, and convinces her to make a child with him while fleeing together from their homes to isolate themselves in the woods.
