Ítala Nandi, born Ítala Maria Helena Pellizzari Nandi on June 4, 1942 in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, is a renowned Brazilian actress with an extensive career in theater that began in 1959. Known as one of the great ladies of Brazilian theater, she has also worked as a theater producer and director. Notably, Nandi portrayed Brazilian writer Oswald de Andrade in the 1982 film 'O Homem do Pau-Brasil', playing his feminine anima alongside Flávio Galvão who depicted the masculine half.
