Geschichte

In 'Rave Macbeth', set in a trendy rave nightclub instead of Scotland, Hecate leads a gang of drug dealers. Her second-in-command, Marcus, is ambitious and seeks to overthrow her with the help of his girlfriend Lidia. Meanwhile, Marcus's rival Dean also aims for the top spot. When Troy, another influential figure in the scene, enters the picture, he further complicates the power dynamics. As alliances shift and betrayals occur among the characters, the nightclub becomes a battleground for their ambitious schemes.

Zusammenfassung

Directed by Klaus Knoesel and released in 2001, 'Rave Macbeth' is a modern adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'. Transposing the original play's political intrigue to the world of dance rave culture, the film explores themes of ambition, power, and corruption. Unlike traditional adaptations, it does not follow the original plot strictly but uses its setting to create a unique atmosphere while retaining core elements such as character motivations and tragic downfall.
