Alexandra Kamp-Groeneveld was born on December 29, 1966, in Karlsruhe to Peter Kamp and his wife. She grew up in Baden-Baden. After studying drama at schools in New York, Los Angeles, and Paris, she started her acting career in Germany in 1994. Notable roles include playing alongside Claudia Cardinale in 'Riches, belles, etc.' (1998) and Leslie Nielsen in '2001: A Space Travesty' (2001). She also starred in the English-South African co-production 'Sumuru' (2003). In 2007, she appeared on the cover of German Playboy magazine. Alexandra is actively involved in charity work as a spokeswoman for Kinderhospiz St. Nikolaus, providing care for terminally ill children and their families.
