Sigourney Weaver, born Susan Alexandra Weaver on October 8, 1949, is an American actress known for her pioneering roles as action heroines in science fiction films. She gained international recognition for her portrayal of Ellen Ripley in the 'Alien' franchise. Weaver has been nominated seven times for a Golden Globe Award, winning both Best Actress in Drama and Best Supporting Actress in 1988 for 'Gorillas in the Mist' and 'Working Girl'. Her notable film roles include 'Ghostbusters', 'Dave', 'Galaxy Quest', 'Avatar', and 'The Cabin in the Woods'. She also starred in the French film 'Une femme ou deux' (1985), playing a dual role as an advertising executive who impersonates an archaeology professor.

Story
