"Gesine Cukrowski kicked off her acting career in the popular German TV medical series 'Praxis Bülowbogen' in 1987. While this role didn't launch her to stardom, she landed parts in the short films 'Posthuman' and 'Aufstand der Dinge', an animated sci-fi flick, in 1993. Her career gradually gained momentum with notable roles in series like 'Und tschüss' and made-for-TV crime dramas such as 'Rosa Roth - Verlorenes Leben' and 'Tatort - Engelchen flieg'. Her most significant success thus far is 'Die Schläfer', a TV thriller directed by Roman Kuhn, known for his distinctive style. The film's intriguing plot, combined with Cukrowski's performance alongside Michael Mendall, Axel Milberg, makes it a captivating watch.
