Full Biography

Maja Ostaszewska, born September 3, 1972 in Kraków, Poland, is a prominent Polish actress. She began her acting career during her training at PWST in Kraków, graduating in 1996. Her film debut was in the TV movie 'Przystań' (1997), for which she received a Best Actress Award at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. Ostaszewska has worked extensively with notable directors like Krystian Lupa and Krzysztof Warlikowski, primarily on stage at Teatr Rozmaitości in Warsaw. She also had a small role in Steven Spielberg's 'Schindler's List' (1993) during her acting training. Recently, she played a main character in Andrzej Wajda's Katyń.
