Despite Alice initially declining his ride offer, she accepts due to rain. Two colleagues misunderstand their interaction, taking a photo that makes it seem like they're kissing, which is then posted on Twitter. The next day, Alice faces mockery but also garners praise from her boss Vincent Khan who believes she's dating someone twenty years younger. Seeing an opportunity for career advancement, Alice decides to pretend she's in love with Balthazar. However, as their fake relationship progresses, Alice begins to realize that she shouldn't trifle with love.
