Kasi Lemmons, born Karen Lemmons on February 24, 1961, is an American actress and director. She began her acting career with roles in commercials for McDonald's and Levi's before making her film debut in Spike Lee's School Daze (1988). She subsequently acted in Vampire's Kiss (1988), The Silence of the Lambs (1991), and Candyman (1992). Lemmons also made significant strides as a director, with notable works including Eve's Bayou (1997), Talk to Me (2007), Black Nativity (2013), Harriet (2019), Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody (2022), the Netflix series Self Made (2020), and an episode of ABC's Women of the Movement (2022).

Peter Loew (played by Nicolas Cage) is an arrogant publishing executive who visits a nightclub one evening. There he meets and kisses a woman who later turns out to be a vampire.
