Full Biography

Viktor Lazlo, born Sonia Dronnier on October 7, 1960, is a French-Belgian singer known primarily in Belgium. Born to parents originally from Martinique and Grenada, she grew up in Belgium, studied art history, and worked as a model before embarking on her music career. Lazlo took her stage name from Victor Laszlo in the film Casablanca. She sings in French, English, Spanish, and German. Her biggest hit was 'Breathless' in 1987, and she hosted the Eurovision Song Contest that year. Recent works include singles 'Promised Land' (2016) and 'Lola & Jim' (2017), followed by album 'Woman' in October 2017.

Story

Jack Baker, an ambitious academic, travels to Tahiti to write yet another biography of Paul Gauguin. His plans are disrupted by Cohn, a charming but deceitful local con man who has been tormenting the island's inhabitants for years without consequence. Initially, Jack is annoyed by Cohn, but they eventually become friends after it's revealed that Cohn owns an authentic Gauguin painting. Despite his obnoxious behavior and pathological lying, Cohn somehow avoids being arrested due to his charisma.
