She has also appeared in Broadway productions and received critical acclaim for her role in the HBO miniseries 'Olive Kitteridge'. Additionally, she is a playwright and screenwriter, having written 'Ruby Sparks' (2012) and co-written 'Wildlife' (2018) with her partner, actor Paul Dano.
