American actress Blake Ellender Lively was born on August 25, 1987, in Los Angeles. She is the daughter of actor Ernie Lively and made her professional debut at age seven in her father's directorial project 'Sandman' (1998). Lively gained fame for her roles in 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' (2005) and its sequel, as well as portraying Serena van der Woodsen in the CW drama series 'Gossip Girl' (2007–2012). She has also appeared in films like 'Accepted' (2006) and has directed several episodes of 'Guiding Light'.
