She also directed and produced the documentary 'QUIET RIOT: Well Now You're Here, There's No Way Back', which won several awards including Festival Honors at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Russell has appeared on numerous TV shows as a celebrity style expert and red carpet fashion critic, and she owned Celebrity Closet Raiders, a high-end designer resale store. She is engaged to Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali.
