Zusammenfassung

Directed by Robert Altman in 1992, 'Player' is a dark comedy-drama thriller set within the Hollywood movie business. The film follows studio executive Alex, who finds himself entangled in a web of blackmail and homicide when he starts receiving death threats from an unknown screenwriter. As Alex grapples with these sinister occurrences, he begins to notice uncanny similarities between his life and the scripts he works on, leading him down a rabbit hole of intrigue and self-reflection. The movie serves as a satirical commentary on the Hollywood machine while exploring themes of power, ambition, and the blurred line between reality and fiction.
