Elizabeth Berridge, born May 2, 1962, in New Rochelle, New York, is an American actress best known for her role as Constanze Mozart in the Academy Award-winning film 'Amadeus' (1984). After Meg Tilly injured herself during filming, Berridge was flown to Prague and cast as Constanze due to her suitability for the role of an innkeeper's daughter. She completed the six-month on-site filming alongside other cast members.

Story
Antonio Salieri, a respected Italian composer serving as the court composer of Emperor Joseph II in Vienna, becomes filled with envy and resentment towards the remarkably talented young Viennese composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Salieri believes that Mozart's music is miraculous and divine, but struggles to understand why God favored Mozart over him despite his own piety and talent.
