Ornella Muti, born Francesca Romana Rivelli on March 9, 1955 in Rome to Neapolitan father and Estonian mother, is an Italian actress known for her roles in Italian films like 'La moglie più bella' (1970) and international productions such as 'Flash Gordon' (1980). She has been married twice, firstly to actor Alessio Orano from 1975-1981, and secondly to Federico Facchinetti from 1988-1996. Muti has three children: Naike Rivelli, Andrea, and Carolina Facchinetti. Since 1998, she has been living with Stefano Piccolo, a plastic surgeon.

Story

Molly, Elisabeth, and Maria, three friends who are dissatisfied with their marriages, decide to fake their husbands' deaths in order to escape their unhappy relationships and gain financial independence. Molly, a devoted housewife, wants freedom from her abusive and unfaithful husband Erich; Elisabeth, a successful lawyer, longs for romance with the younger musician Vince instead of her much older husband Charles; Maria, who married Konrad for his money, seeks respect and recognition but fears losing her fortune in a divorce. They initially find it challenging to execute their plans, but they proceed nonetheless, believing widowhood is their best chance at happiness.
