Maite Perroni Beorlegui, born March 9, 1983, is a Mexican actress and singer who gained international fame after starring in the Mexican youth telenovela 'Rebelde' (2004), which launched her into pop-rock group RBD. As an actress, she has appeared in numerous television series including Netflix's 'Dark Desire', and voiced characters in animation films such as Rise of the Guardians. She was named 'The New Queen of Telenovelas' by Univision in 2009 and won Best Actress at Premios TVyNovelas in 2016 for her role in 'Antes muerta que Lichita'. In music, she released her debut solo album 'Eclipse de Luna' in 2013, which debuted at number 3 on the AMPROFON chart.
