Nozomi Andô, born in Japan, began her career as an 'Oha Star' girl and model for Nicola's catalogue ('Nicomo'). She debuted as an actress in 'Gamera 3 Jashin Kakusei', winning awards such as the Mainichi Film Contest Sponichi Grand Prix Newcomer Award. Initially pursuing singing with an independent label, she made her major debut in 2001 but shifted focus to acting thereafter, notably starring in 'L'amant' ('Bored Game') based on a manga. In 2008, she married and had her first child.
