Story

In 'Les amours imaginaires', Francis, a gay man, and Marie, his straight female friend, share an apartment in Montreal. Their close friendship takes a turn when Nicolas, whom they both find attractive, enters their lives. Francis becomes jealous of the attention Nicolas pays to Marie, leading to sexual tension as both wait for Nicolas' romantic preference. The film intersperses this narrative with interview tales of romantic pitfalls.

Summary

'Les amours imaginaires', directed by Xavier Dolan in 2010, is a comedy-drama that explores the complexities of friendship and desire. Set in Montreal, the film focuses on Francis and Marie's dynamic as they navigate their feelings towards Nicolas. While the narrative sources are limited, the movie appears to revolve around the romantic rivalry between Francis and Marie over Nicolas, with interviews interspersed throughout the story.
