Story

Will, a young William Shakespeare, arrives in London from his small village and joins a punk-rock theater troupe. The series follows his early struggles to establish himself as a playwright amidst rioting audiences, religious fanatics, and raucous side-shows. Despite these challenges, Will's raw talent and innovative approach to theater captivate audiences and attract unwanted attention from powerful figures in the city.

Summary

Set in 16th-century London but played out with a modern soundtrack, 'Will' is an imaginative take on the early life of William Shakespeare. The series explores his transformation from a small-town lad to a punk-rock theater sensation while grappling with the seductive and violent world around him. Through this contemporary lens, we witness Shakespeare's recklessness, lustful temptations, and brilliance as he navigates the turbulent scene that ultimately shapes his legendary career.
