Jasmine Trinca, born April 24, 1981 in Rome, Italy, began her acting career in 2001 when she was selected by Nanni Moretti for his award-winning film 'The Son's Room'. She received the Guglielmo Biraghi prize for Best New Talent that year. In 2004, Trinca won a Nastro d'Argento for her role in 'The Best of Youth'. She has worked with Moretti again in 'Il caimano' (2006).

Story

Set during the Italian Revolution of 1968, 'Il grande sogno' follows Nicolas, a police officer who harbors dreams of becoming an actor. While out in plain clothes, he meets Laura, a student involved in protests against the government and the Vietnam War, advocating for sexual freedom. They begin a relationship despite their differing views on politics and law enforcement. However, when Nicolas's true identity is exposed, Laura leaves him.
