Jodie Foster, born Alicia Christian Foster on November 19, 1962, is an American actress and filmmaker. She began her career as a child model and actor, notable roles including 'Napoleon and Samantha' (1972) and 'Taxi Driver' (1976), earning an Oscar nomination at age 14. After attending Yale University, she transitioned into mature leading roles, winning Oscars for 'The Accused' (1988) and 'The Silence of the Lambs' (1991). Foster made her directorial debut with 'Little Man Tate' (1991), founded Egg Pictures production company in 1992, and has since directed films like 'Home for the Holidays' (1995) and episodes for various TV series. She has been awarded numerous accolades throughout her career.
