Carey Hannah Mulligan, born on May 28, 1985, is an English actress known for her versatile roles across film, stage, and television. She began her professional acting debut on stage in 'Forty Winks' at the Royal Court Theatre in 2004. Her notable works include 'Pride & Prejudice' (2005), 'An Education' (2009) which earned her a BAFTA Award for Best Actress and an Academy Award nomination, 'Drive' (2011), 'Shame' (2011), 'The Great Gatsby' (2013), and 'Promising Young Woman' (2020). She has also received acclaim for her stage performances, notably in the Broadway revival of 'Skylight'. Mulligan was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2024.
