Story

Anne Benton (Jodie Foster), an artist, witnesses a Mafia hit while working at her studio late one night. She calls the police but realizes at the station that there's a corrupt cop among them who would expose her to the mob. Anne flees, switching identities town by town to hide from Milo (Dennis Hopper), the chief assassin sent after her. The police want Anne to testify against the Mafia, while the mob wants her dead. Milo becomes captivated by Anne and decides not to kill her but instead helps her evade both the cops and the crooks. Together they go on the run, trying to decide who to trust and who to love.

Summary

Catchfire (1990) is a blend of action, drama, comedy, romance, and thriller genres directed by Alan Smithee (under the pseudonym 'Pat Fine') with Dennis Hopper appearing as an actor-director.
