Zabriskie Point follows two protagonists whose lives intersect amidst the political unrest and cultural upheaval of late-1960s America. Anthropology student Daria is assisting a property developer in constructing a village in the Los Angeles desert, while dropout Mark has become wanted by authorities after being falsely accused of killing a policeman during a student riot. Their paths cross serendipitously in Death Valley where they embark on an impulsive and passionate affair, emblematic of the free love and counterculture spirit of the time.
Zusammenfassung

Zabriskie Point is an epic portrait of late-1960s America, as seen through the eyes of two of its disaffected youth: anthropology student Daria and dropout Mark. Directed by Michelangelo Antonioni, the film explores themes of alienation, consumerism, and political unrest against the backdrop of a rapidly changing societal landscape. While the plot is minimalistic, with much focus on atmosphere and symbolism, it captures the spirit of rebellion and counterculture that defined the era.
