Story

Tamara Drewe, a journalist returning to her childhood village in Dorset, rekindles an old romance with handyman Andy Cobb while interviewing drummer Ben Sergeant for her newspaper article. Ben leaves his band after discovering his girlfriend's affair and moves into Tamara's family farm. Tamara's neighbor Beth Hardiment, whose husband Nicholas is unfaithful, struggles with her marriage amidst the village drama. Teenagers Jody Long and Casey Shaw become infatuated with Ben's presence in their small town. After Tamara accepts Ben's proposal and they spend time together in London, Casey breaks into Tamara's house, sends an anonymous email that disrupts everyone's lives, leading to a tragic conclusion.
