Schoßgebete follows the sexually adventurous young woman named Anna (Anna Maria Mühe), who seems to have it all - a loving husband Thomas (Maximilian Brückner), two wonderful kids, and a thriving career as a therapist. However, she feels restless and unfulfilled in her marriage. In an attempt to reignite the passion between them, Anna drags Thomas to a sex shop, but their attempt at spicing things up ends in disaster when Thomas suffers a heart attack and dies suddenly.
