Story
In the Arctic village of 1931, British cartographer Walter Russell takes in an orphaned Eskimo boy named Avik to guide him on his mapping expedition. When Avik contracts tuberculosis, Walter flies him to a Montreal hospital for treatment. There, Avik meets Albertine, who is French Canadian Métis, and becomes infatuated with her.
